Counseling
Individual Nutrition Assessment
Initial:
An initial nutrition assessment is a comprehensive view of your eating behaviors. You
will be asked to share your current and past eating patterns, weight history, exercise
habits, medical concerns and symptoms, and personal goals and questions. Kathy
believes in a non-diet approach and will help you develop an individualized plan to
meet your goals.
- Initial assessment-eating disorders is 90 minutes
- Initial assessment-medical nutrition therapy/healthy eating is 60 minutes
Kathy works in close collaboration with other health care professionals including the
primary care physician, psychiatrist and individual therapist as necessary.
Follow-up sessions:
Follow-up sessions are typically 30 minutes and may be recommended on a weekly,
bi-monthly or monthly basis depending on your needs.
Telephone and email sessions are also available.
Group Sessions
Besides individual sessions, Kathy offers group classes.
One of her most popular groups is called “Practice Foods”. This group teaches
participants to normalize their perceptions of food and to eliminate the need to
categorize foods as “good” or “bad”.
Please check out the calendar or call for more information on classes Kathy can offer.
